On the evening of March 30 and again on the morning of Sunday, March 31, we began to celebrate the most important event in the history of our planet: Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.
The resurrection is important because it completes and confirms Jesus’ victory over sin, evil, and death.
What does that mean, you ask, since sin, evil, and death are still with us?
It means that the crushing burden of sin and guilt can be lifted, that we can be forgiven and start anew.
It means that evil will not win, that good can be brought out of evil.
It means that death is not the end, that we are made to live forever in communion with God who loves us so much that he died to save us.
The resurrection is so important that we will continue to celebrate it for 50 days. It is not too late to join in that celebration. Our Sunday services begin (officially) at 10:00 am. We sing hymns for about 10 minutes before that.
