A Service of Lessons & Carols

Join us this Sunday, January 1st for a Service of Lessons and Carols. Our 10:30 am service will begin with this sweeping narrative of salvation history through Scripture readings and the carols which help to tell the story. The service will then transition to our Sunday Mass, the first of the New Year – 2017!

Lessons and Carols was first introduced at Kings College, Cambridge England in 1918. It has been a time honored tradition to celebrate the story of Christ through nine Scripture Lessons and nine accompanying carols. It is particularly well suited as a story to be told at Christmas tide. These are the 12 days after Christmas and a season that extends the celebration of the birth of the Messiah at the Feast of the Nativity.
