Journey to Bethlehem

It is not too late to join the Holy Family in a journey to Bethlehem. Services in Advent are on Sundays at 8:00am and 10:30am. Advent is a sacred time of preparation as a worshiping community for the arrival of the Christ child. It is penitential in the sense of communal anticipation and longing for the awaited Messiah. The space is adorned in royal purple although simple and sparse. In a traditional parish the entire scene is transformed on Christmas Eve. We will then see a worship space bathed in shimmering gold and translucent white. First though, we join an expectant Mary and an obedient Joseph on that long journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem.
