Holy Week 2014

Palm Sunday April 13th

Blessing & Procession of Palms – 8:00am & 10:30am We gather in the Narthex (entry way) to begin the service with the liturgy of blessing the palms. We will process to organ and standing drums as we recall Our Lord’s triumphant march into Jerusalem.

Maundy Thursday April 17th

The last Supper, Stripping of the Altar, Vigil at the altar of repose – service begins at – 7:00 pm

Vigil of the altar of repose – 9:00pm until Noon on Good Friday.

Sign up to pray at the altar of repose for 1 hour during the all night vigil.

Good Friday April 18th

At Noon of Good Friday, we restore the Altar of repose to the tabernacle. This is followed immediately by a simple Stations of the Cross service.

In the evening at 7:00pm we gather for a second stations of the cross walk.

Easter Eve April 19th

Service of New light, Baptisms & Eucharist 7:00pm. Our service begins by gathering in the entry way (Narthex) to observe the celebration of New Light. We process into the worship space (Nave) following the light of Christ. There will be a liturgy of the Word, Baptism, and the Eucharist.

Easter Sunday April 20th

One Service at 9:00 am. Celebrate the Lord’s resurrection at a single combined service.
