Christmas at St. Barnabas 2012

We are observing the traditional practice of Christmas. The four Sundays in Advent are subdued in preparation for the birth of the Messiah.

December 23rd – 4th Sunday in Advent services at 8:00am & 10:30am

December 23rd                         Greening Party after the 10:30am service

We will transform the entryway and worship space with all the Christmas trim. Greens will be hung, the altar will be transformed, and a striking Christmas tree will be decorated on this afternoon. All in preparation for the magnificent gift of the Saviors birth.

December 24th      Christmas Eve services at 5:00pm (family)& 10:30pm (midnight Mass)

We begin officially the “twelve days of Christmas”.  After a season of Advent waiting and anticipation the great celebration of Christmas unfolds at these two services. Both services will begin with favorite carols and lead to communion. They both conclude with a candlelight service.

December 25th                                     Christmas Day Mass at 10:00am

A beautiful service of music, prayer, and the Eucharist. An opportunity to spend an hour in worship at the start of Christmas Day.

December 30th – 11:00am                          Service of Lessons & Carols

Held in the middle of the “twelve days” this beautiful service of music and Scripture readings tells the story of salvation history.

Join us as we celebrate a beautiful season.
