We Are Open For Business.
While many churches in the Seattle area are encouraging people to stay home and have even canceled Sunday services because of the corona virus, St. Barnabas has remained open.
We are following the latest guidelines and have added measures to keep people well. As always, if individuals are not feeling well, they are encouraged to stay home. For those who are healthy and not at risk, worship of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is a priority that overcomes fear. We are meant to gather as a community and share the Eucharist.
We are easy to find at 2340 N. 155th Street in Shoreline. We are close to the freeway, across from Twin Ponds Park.
Our early Sunday service at is 8:00 am, a “said” service only.
Our adult Christian education (during Lent we are discussing and chanting Psalms) from 9:15 to 10:00.
The second service, with music, begins at 10:30 am. We enjoy pre-service hymns from 10:20 am until 10:30am as a transition into worship.
We use the 1928 Prayer Book most weeks. It has some old fashioned language, but we will help you.
On the first Sunday of each month we use the 2019 ACNA Book of Common Prayer.
In some parts of the world, Christians are gathering under threat of violence and murder. God knows it is good for us to worship him. That is, after all, what we are training ourselves to do in eternity.
Neither Sound Transit construction, an interior remodel, or virus will keep us apart.
